Short-Term Boarding or Long-Term Agisting

Here's a letter from one of our boarders: "We really do not have anything more to suggest—you have a very tidy operation.  It is obvious by how you have done your barn and your pastures and your fan system, that you are meeting the needs of the animals, whether it has to do with their comfort, ie heat issues in the summer, or their proper separation, in terms of separating males from females, aggressive animals from those who are less aggressive, etc.  You have done a nice job of expanding your pastures to meet those needs. 

The animals themselves are well cared for—you can just tell by looking at them, their demeanor, etc.  One way that I could always tell how much alpaca owners cared for their animals was the nail situation.  It was amazing to me how many did not pay attention to this detail!!    You folks are now to the point where you can walk out into the pasture and pick up on stuff that just does not look right, and that means that you can really read the animals. 

Roland and I are very appreciative of how you take care of the animals—we often say, Ken and Lisa take care of them as we would take care of them—we are very pleased that our animals are in such good hands." 

• Rates -- $2.50 per day per adult, crias free until they eat supplement

• Motion-detector security lights on perimeter fence
• Electric fence on perimeter
• Buried barbed wired fully around the entire pasture area to prevent digging under the fence
• Barn is 50' x 24' with a 50' x 20' covered loafing area
• Shelters for all pasture areas
• Barn is divided to accommodate males, females and weanlings
• Excellent mobile veterinary services in our neighborhood
• Quiet, private location well off any busy roads, with security gate
• We do halter training and treat every Alpaca as if it were our own
• Breeding supervision at no cost
• Normal birthing supervision at no cost
• Veterinarian assistance at no cost--you pay the vet
• Shearing for agisted animals and our own
• Alpaca showing for reasonable fee
• We provide owners who can't visit often a monthly video of the herd                            
• Frequent digital photos and weekly (or more often) E-mail updates
• Veterinary certificate required of everyone, for the safety of all

If you have a special need for SHORT TERM BOARDING for one or several Alpacas, let us know.  We can work with you to make things work.  Moving, selling animals and need a place for them where potential buyers can visit?   For a day or a few weeks, we'll work it out so you and your Alpacas can relax.  Call or E-mail us.

LONG-TERM AGISTING is a partnership between Pedro's Pride Ranch and you.  We can meet your special needs and we understand that you want to be involved with your animals.  If you can't visit them, we will send you photos, Emailed updated and descriptions and even send you a video cassette or DVD every month.  If you can visit, you are always welcome and you can even do the poop scoop as often as you like.
